Seaweed Systems, Inc. Teams With Green Hills Software

Seaweed Systems' SeaWind and SeaWind/178 products to support Green Hills Software's MULTI® and INTEGRITY®

Woodinville, Washington, 17th December 2002 -- Seaweed Systems, a leading developer and supplier of OpenGL® and X Window System embedded graphics driver products, announced today that it has joined Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY Partner Program. As a Program member, Seaweed Systems will integrate its SeaWind Products with Green Hills' INTEGRITY® Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and MULTI® 2000 Integrated Development Environment (IDE).

"SeaWind and SeaWind/178 are COTS products which we have developed for embedded graphics applications that demand the ultimate in performance and reliability. We have implemented SeaWind/178 from scratch, based upon a subset of the OpenGL® API, in order to make it certifiable under DO-178B to Level A," said Robert Schulman, President of Seaweed. "Providing our customers with world-class COTS software products and support is important to us. Consequently, Green Hills Software was an obvious choice as an IDE and RTOS partner."

"Our military and aerospace customers demand highly reliable end-to-end software tools and real-time operating systems in order to deploy their systems based on OpenGL and the X Window System," said Robert Redfield, director of Partner Programs at Green Hills. "SeaWind and SeaWind/178 combine with MULTI and INTEGRITY to give customers a rapid development environment which helps them meet demanding delivery schedules. Green Hills is pleased with Seaweed's support plans and welcomes them as a Program partner."

Seaweed Systems provides software products and consulting services in the embedded X Window System and OpenGL® markets. Seaweed Systems customers, which include BAE SYSTEMS, Boeing, EADS, Lockheed Martin, DY4, Elbit Systems, Ericsson Avionics, General Dynamics, Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, L-3, NASA, Northrop Grumman, Radstone Technology, Raytheon and IS&S, benefit from Seaweed's unmatched price, performance, feature set and implementation schedules in the real-time embedded space. They also benefit from the strong working relationships established between Seaweed Systems and leading COTS suppliers such as Green Hills Software, Inc.

INTEGRITY is seamlessly integrated with Green Hills Software's MULTI® and AdaMULTI® IDE. Together with the Green Hills family of optimizing Ada95/C/C++/EC++ compilers, MULTI automates all aspects of embedded software development, including editing, source-level debugging, program building, run-time error checking, version control, and code/performance optimization.

Featuring a memory-protected micro-kernel architecture that guards against viruses, hackers, and errant code, INTEGRITY provides applications with guaranteed resource availability for both CPU time and memory, yet still delivers hard real-time response, making it ideal for demanding embedded applications. INTEGRITY gives designers a fast, secure, ultra-reliable, royalty-free target environment, resulting in reduced development time and lower per-unit cost.
