Wintegra and Green Hills Software Partnership Expands Development Capabilities with WinPath Access Packet Processor

WinPath™ Evaluation Board (WEB), with MULTI IDE and Green Hills Probe™ bring leading development and debugging tools to customers

Austin, Texas, USA - December 5, 2002 -- Wintegra™, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company enabling the next generation of access networks, announced a partnership with Green Hills Software, Inc., the technology leader for real-time operating systems and software development tools. Through the partnership, both companies will collaborate to provide developers a target debugging solution comprised of the MULTI 2000 IDE and Green Hills Probe with the Wintegra WinPath Evaluation Board (WEB). Wintegra's WEB was launched for general availability in February of this year.

"Green Hills has long been a leader in automating all aspects of embedded software development. We are impressed with Wintegra's WinPath and its approach to the access infrastructure market," said John Carbone, VP of Marketing at Green Hills Software. "WinPath has successfully established itself in an existing market and Wintegra's partnership improves our ability to provide a total software solution for access infrastructure developers."

"The availability of MULTI on Wintegra's WEB, combined with the Probe's flexible host interfaces, high speed download and easy configuration and set-up, give our customers the benefits of the fully integrated and highly optimized SOC development tools provided by Green Hills," said Robert O'Dell, Wintegra's VP of Marketing. "System developers are looking for any competitive edge that decreases time to market through design, development and test, and this partnership is another avenue toward a facilitated product development solution that demonstrates the benefit of doing business with Wintegra and its high-quality partners."

WinPath's single chip solution, which debuted in November 2001 as the industry's first access packet processor, is designed specifically for use by communications equipment vendors in the access infrastructure, and was designed to handle both the required data path and control path packet processing functions. Wintegra has design wins in numerous markets in the access infrastructure including DSLAMs, wireless base stations, enterprise and infrastructure media gateways, multi-service access devices, and integrated access devices.
