ORLANDO, FL—June 23, 2010 — Freescale Technology Forum — Green Hills Software, Inc., the largest independent vendor of embedded software solutions, has collaborated with IXXAT Automation GmbH, a leading provider of data communication products and services for the automation and automotive industries, acontis technologies GmbH, a leader in EtherCAT® Master protocol IP, and Freescale Semiconductor, a global leader in the design and manufacture of embedded semiconductors for the automotive, consumer, industrial and networking markets, to develop an industrial automation reference software solution. The reference software solution dramatically reduces time-to-market and development cost for developers who need to integrate and optimize a certified industrial automation solution.

The reference software solution consists of the following components:
- acontis EtherCAT Master Stack AT-EM running on the Freescale P2020 QorIQ multicore processor

This reference software solution will be first demonstrated by Freescale and Green Hills Software in their respective booths in the Technology Lab at the Freescale Technology Forum in Orlando, June 21-24, 2010.
