Santa Barbara, CA—March 2, 2007—Green Hills Software, Inc., the technology leader in device software optimization (DSO) and real-time operating systems (RTOS), today announced that it will present two sessions at the Texas Instruments Developer Conference (TIDC) in Dallas, Texas next week. Both sessions are aimed at embedded software developers and provide advanced techniques for software development and debugging for the DSP and ARM processors found on both TI DaVinci technology and OMAP technology.

Session 1:
  When: Wednesday, March 07, 14:00 -17:00
Where: TIDC, Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway (I-35E), Dallas, TX, room: Topaz
Who: Joe Fabbre, Technical Solutions Manager
What: Hands-on MULTI for DaVinci lab
Highlights: The Green Hills Software workshop offers an advanced hands-on session with the industry’s leading integrated development environment – MULTI. It will cover how to create and debug programs for both the DSP and ARM processor cores using MULTI. It will provide tools and techniques for various debugging methods/targets, including multicore, run mode and freeze mode, OS aware for: TI’s DSP/BIOS, INTEGRITY, and MontaVista Linux and much more.

Session 2:
  When: Wednesday, March 07, 14:00 -15:30
Where: TIDC, Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway (I-35E), Dallas, TX, room: Topaz
  Who: Greg Davis, Director Engineering
What: Writing Reliable C/C++ Systems Code
Highlights: This session will highlight the top sources of run-time errors, and how to avoid them in order to write reliable code. Many sources of errors are not detected during product testing, thus causing run-time failures and costly product glitches. The top sources of run-time errors are discussed and how to avoid them in order to write reliable code. A demonstration of new features in MULTI for the TI DaVinci processor will show how to detect bugs during the initial development process.

Green Hills will also be demonstrating its in-depth software development solutions for both the DaVinci and OMAP processor technologies from TI. These include the industry’s fastest multi-core target probes, most advanced ARM C/C++/MISRA C compilers, the multi-core-enabled MULTI IDE and royalty-free RTOS support with INTEGRITY, velOSity and µ-velOSity, along with OS-aware debugging support for ARM Linux.
