SANTA BARBARA, CA — November 20, 2006—Green Hills Software Inc., the technology leader in device software optimization (DSO) and real-time operating systems (RTOS), today announced that Express Logic’s motion to enjoin Green Hills from continuing to sell its µ-velOSity product has been denied. The 3-person arbitration panel ruled that Express Logic failed to meet its burden of proving the likelihood of success on the merits of their copyright infringement claims.
“Our first priority is to continue to provide our µ-velOSity customers with the best possible service. We are pleased that our position has been supported by the arbitration panel, thereby allowing our µ-velOSity sales and support to go forward,” said Dan O’Dowd, founder and chief executive officer of Green Hills Software. “The denial of the preliminary injunction motion is the first step in the successful resolution of the Express Logic arbitration, which is expected to be completed in the first half of 2007.” For more detail on the arbitration, go to www.ghs.com/news/20060616_expresslogic.html.
