Ford Motor Company is using Green Hills Software's C Optimizing Compiler and MULTI® Integrated Development Environment to configure the powertrain control module for new Lincoln LS luxury sedans. Running on a Freescale Power Architecture MPC509 microprocessor, the powertrain control module governs spark timing, fuel injection, shift scheduling and emission control systems.
