Cyrano Sciences is using Green Hills Software's MULTI® Integrated Development Environment and C++ Optimizing Compilers to develop electronics and firmware for the Cyranose 320—an electronic hand-held nose. Using a Hitachi SuperH processor, the Cyranose 320 digitizes odors, enabling quality control managers to maintain consistency in the processing of food, pharmaceuticals, fragrances, etc. In the future, the Cyranose 320 will also assess human health and monitor air quality.
