Green Hills Software Selected as Preferred Supplier by Rockwell Collins

Receives Award For Providing Development Tools, RTOS, and Support Services for Sikorsky S/H-92 Helicopter

Santa Barbara, CA. August 27, 2002 -- Green Hills Software today announced that it has been selected as a "Preferred Supplier" by Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL), a worldwide leader in the design, production and support of aviation electronics solutions for government and commercial customers.

Green Hills Software earned the Preferred Supplier award, which acknowledges significant contributions made by suppliers based upon delivery, cost of ownership, lead time and customer metrics, for its work in the Sikorsky Helicopter S/H-92 Avionics Management System (AMS) Program. Green Hills Software's AdaMULTI® 2000 Integrated Development Environment and INTEGRITY®-178B real-time operating system were used to develop and host avionics management and display software that flies aboard the Sikorsky Helicopter. Green Hills Software received the award along with a commemorative plaque at the Rockwell Collins Annual Supplier Conference earlier this year.

"We are very proud of our role in providing the development tools and RTOS for Rockwell Collins' S/H-92 AMS Program, and are greatly appreciative that Rockwell Collins has recognized us with their Preferred Supplier Award," said John Carbone, vice president of marketing at Green Hills Software. "Our products and support services have been instrumental in enhancing safety, innovation and productivity in a broad range of defense and aerospace applications, including the Sikorsky Helicopter."

Green Hills Software earned the Preferred Supplier Award by meeting Rockwell's requirements for the S/H-92 AMS Program over the past year. The S/H-92 is a medium-lift, twin-engine, multi-mission helicopter manufactured by the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. An evolution of Sikorsky's S-70 US Army Black Hawk and US Navy Seahawk helicopters, the S/H-92 will be available in 19-seat passenger commercial and 22-troop utility versions, as well as a number of mission-specific configurations, including Search and Rescue (SAR), government and VIP transportation. The S/H-92 is the first helicopter that will be fully certified to the harmonized FAA/JAA Part 29 requirements, and is scheduled to receive type certification in late 2002.
