Green Hills Software Inc., the technology leader in device software optimization (DSO) and real-time operating systems (RTOS), and ArrowSpan, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of next-generation WiFi wireless mesh network solution, today announced that Arrowspan has chosen the Green Hills MULTI integrated development environment (IDE) and the INTEGRITY real-time operating system (RTOS) to develop highly optimized, ground breaking embedded systems for their MeshAP 2100/1100 Dual-Radio WiFi Mesh Network Access Point. The Green Hills’ solution allowed for the use of less memory and a lower power CPU than the alternative Linux solution, providing scalability to very high volumes with the same HW/SW platform. ArrowSpan is the first company to provide Dual-Radio 802.11g WiFi Mesh Network Access Point in the market, minimizing the co-channel interference created by single channel design. The Dual-Radio design enables Service Providers to deploy ArrowSpan solution with higher reliability and hop counts, saving tremendous costs and time for deployment. The MeshAP 2100/1100 benefits users with an easy setup that requires no additional software for managing the mesh network.
