Motorola is using Green Hills Optimizing C and C++ compilers and MULTI® development environment to develop communications satellite software for the Iridium® system of 66 satellites providing global communications capabilities via hand-held and portable wireless phones. Iridium satellites are equipped with Motorola PowerPC processors. All Iridium application code for the satellites was produced using tools from Green Hills Software.
