Overview
”The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is honored to welcome the first joint FACE & SOSA Expo and TIM this September. Both the FACE technical standard and the SOSA draft technical standard, along with their business practices and ecosystems, are essential components of Air Force strategy to increase agility, flexibility and affordability in warfighting capabilities we provide. This event is an excellent opportunity to see how well all the services are collaborating with industry to advance open systems approaches for aviation critical software and sensor systems.”
- Rich Kutter, SES,
Air Force Senior Leader
for Embedded Systems and Software.

The US Air Force-hosted FACE™ & SOSA™ Expo and Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) event is an opportunity to see the progress being made for both functionality and interoperability of modular open system environments in both the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) and the Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA) consortia. Members of The Open Group FACE and SOSA consortia will present their latest results and showcase their solutions of FACE and SOSA applications for new war-fighting capabilities for the services. Hosted by the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and sponsored by Green Hills Software, this Expo and TIM are geared toward program managers and procurement managers across all the services as well as their contractors and suppliers.

Join us at this year's event in Dayton, OH to see demonstrations of FACE certified products, including the latest revision FACE 3.0, and products aligned to the SOSA Technical Standard. The TIM will feature presentations on using the FACE Technical Standard and business practices, the SOSA draft technical standard and business practices, and keynote presentations by the U.S. Air Force and other DoD leadership.
