SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 20, 1994 - Green Hills Software,
Inc. announced today the introduction of the Green Hills optimizing C
and C++ compilers and MULTI Development Environment for the Fujitsu
Microelectronics' RISC Embedded Processor family. The introduction of
the Green Hills tools will provide developers using Fujitsu's family
of embedded RISC processors the most comprehensive embedded software
tools available in the marketplace.
Dan O'Dowd, Green Hills Software president, stated: "We have
received substantial interest for Fujitsu's family of microprocessors
in the embedded arena. Green Hills has provided self-hosted native
SPARC-based compilers for Sun workstations for years. We were able to
leverage from those years of expertise to develop and introduce the
best SPARC-based embedded tools solution available."
"The new, fully-integrated development environment from Green Hills
provides designers with an excellent new toolset for the RISC Embedded
Processor Series," said Vincent Sollitto, vice president and general
manager of Fujitsu Microelectronics' Logic Products Division. "We are
continuing to develop and add the latest, most sophisticated tools and
products that make system development with this family of processors
fast and efficient."
The Green Hills optimizing C and C++ Compilers and the MULTI
Development Environment for the Fujitsu embedded processor family will
be available as a beta version November 1, 1994. Initial software
development packages contain the Green Hills compilers, the MULTI
Development Environment including a software instruction set simulator
and ROM monitor packages for Fujitsu's MB86930-EB, MB86931-EB,
MB86932-EB, and MB86933-EB evaluation boards.
