Elmic Systems and Green Hills Software Sign Reseller Agreement
Bundled Solution Combines Best-of-Breed Products, Delivers 100% of Functionality Needed by Embedded Software Developers
Boston, MA. September 4, 2001 -- At the Embedded Systems Conference in Boston today, Elmic Systems USA announced that they signed a reseller agreement with Green Hills Software, Inc. Effective this month, Elmic Systems' embedded internet software tools and enabling technology will be licensed, marketed and distributed with Green Hills' MULTI® 2000 Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and advanced real time operating system offerings. The combined solution gives developers the industry's single most advanced royalty-free, run-time offering for deeply embedded communications systems.
"It makes sense that we would resell Elmic Systems' products, since our companies share a reputation for product excellence and innovation," said John Carbone, Vice President of Marketing for Green Hills Software. "The seamless integration of the ThreadX® real-time operating system, together with Elmic's Internet enabling software, gives customers a single, fully integrated, and comprehensive package."
"Since Green Hills is the fastest growing RTOS manufacturer in the market, this relationship gives us significant and immediate distribution of our communications software. It is yet another example to validate our technology as the best the industry has to offer," said Kevin McGuire, President and Chief Operating Officer for Elmic Systems.
Elmic Systems' embedded software tools are designed to be the fastest, smallest, and most reliable in the industry. Their premier product offering features Turbo Treck TCP/IP, a TCP/IP protocol specifically designed and optimized for embedded systems. It meets the increasing demand for high communication speeds at a time that high-bandwidth audio, video, and animation are becoming standard features on the Internet.
Green Hill's MULTI IDE is optimized for embedded systems applications with tight memory constraints and hard real-time performance requirements.
