Product or Product Family Name Product Type Product Summary Product Description The V850 family of high-performance, low-cost solutions offers a wide variety of memory and peripheral options along with low power consumption. To stretch battery life, the V850/Sxx and V850ES/Sxx low-power devices within the V850 family incorporate power-saving features such as an integrated sub-clock and a sophisticated power management system that turns off areas of the device that are not in use. With their low cost, these low-power products are suited for 16-bit applications but offer the greater performance and memory advantages enabled by 32-bit capabilities. SuperH is an embedded RISC developed for high cost-performance, miniaturization, and performance-per-unit-of-power-consumption (MIPS/W) applications. The SuperH family includes CPU cores with a wide range of functions. These include: on-chip large-capacity flash memory, timer, serial I/O, AD converter, high-speed data processing, cache, and MMU. Additionally, there is a series with full DSP functions and an emphasis on multimedia and communications processing.
